Good service. Poor design.
The service process to buy and receive a spare part is very good. The quality of the design of this part... not so much. It's a crucial part of the vacuum cleaner and should be more reinforced, as it's processing all the torque from handling the machine as you vacuum.
Expected better design from Miele.

Handle is weak and snapped
Handle is weak and snapped after warranty period.
Have contacted Miele on several occasions and still not heard back from warranty department.
What you going to do when it snaps.?
Not buy another handle for your 700$ machine.
Item is not even in stock because I'm sick of waiting.

There are so many examples online of these not lasting and breaking after some time. One expect better quality/design from Miele. How many replacement handles should one be expected to buy?

Miele Vacuum Hand Piece Replacement part
Poorly designed hand piece, our first one only lasted just over a year before we had to start holding the cracks together with masking tape.
Not acceptable when you buy a $900 vacuum that you then need to replace a component at a cost $140 knowing that the replacement part will also fail in short amount of time.

Very poor design and materials
Simply not robust enough to last. First the handle broke off, and now the noise that inserts into the end is within 1-2 feeds of completely breaking.
Add to this the fact that the integrated brush is almost impossible to extend, but then will not stay locked in the usage position.
So unimpressed, and more than 160 bucks to replace an injection moulded part that'll probably only last a couple of years!

Replacement handle due to original coming apart
This is a replacement handle for my miele vacuum that the original handle just started to seperate. I still think the handle is not strong enough for weekly vacuuming of a plush carpet and it too will start to come apart at the joins.
