Rated 3 out of 5 by Proud housewife from Miele washing machine I'm disappointed as my last Miele had a wash cycle of 40 mins which I preferred and also I now can't put an ice cream container when I clean the water outlet down the bottom as it doesn't fit. Before I could empty it in one go.Don't like the anticrease after the cycle has finished as if you don't turn it off in time the clothes seem to get extra wet again and I have to put the extra 12 minute spin. After the 12 minute spin finishes I get all these suds remaining in the door down the bottom. Preferred my last machine purchased in 2007. It was a lot stronger. Please advise any solutions . Much appreciated.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ken Behren from LED touchscreens are super annoying. Ditch ‘em! Looks promising - has many of the hallmarks of a Miele product which has earned the brand my loyalty - sturdy build, reliable so far (it has big shoes to fill - my last Miele washer lasted 17 years). But why they have moved away from a dial & embraced LED touchscreens for setting some aspects of the cycle, I’ll never understand. Dials are reliable and durable. LED screens are tedious to use (beep, beep, beep, beep every time you want to change the water temperature & no memory of your preferences); and far more likely to fail. So far, that’s my only complaint. I’ll be listening to those beeps every time I wash. A dial doesn’t need to remember. It just sits where you left it. Sigh.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Washing Lady from Takes it’s time.. I have had my machine for a month and laundry has never taken so long! The shortest cycle for a normal load is 1 hour 39 minutes as opposed to 3 hours and 14 minutes… aside from the “Express” cycle which takes a mere 20 minutes to “refresh” clothing but is not a thorough wash cycle for a full load. The reason it takes so long is because the machine only takes in cold water and heats it up to the chosen temperature. These times are for 20 degrees only - for higher temperatures the cycle takes much longer! If I had known how long it takes to do a load of washing I would have chosen another type of machine.

Rated 2 out of 5 by CG00 from Disappointed I purchased this machine just over 12 months ago after 3 people recommended front loaders. I picked this one. Very long cycles, and no matter which I use my towels come out like sandpaper, they used to be lovely fluffy towels, but no more. I contacted Customer Service on 4 occasions to get help but everything they recommended I had already tried. I spoke to the people that recommended front loaders and all their towels are also like sandpaper. I tried 3 typed of Fabric Softener, nothing worked, some cycles don't even dispense the softener. It also shrunk my tea towels. The only good thing is it washes well. I'm now looking for a new top loader. Very expensive decision.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Tim 144 from Not working when delivered When we first tried to use the machine it would not work. Meile advised us to contact a repair agent. They came and looked over the machine which then started working. A few days later it stopped again. So we had the repair people come out again several times. The fault was intermittent. And the service people could not identify the fault. Since then it appears to be Woking ok however I’m concerned that one day it will stop and that may be when the warranty had expired. Should have been replaced immediately.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bazz from Brilliant machine I couldn't be happier with this washing machine, it's the third Miele washing machine I've had over the past 25 years & it's the best one yet. I use the 20 minute wash cycle as our clothing doesn't really get dirty just mainly sweaty. It's so quiet & quick, no sooner starts & it's finished. Our last machine was used every day & lasted 14 years, no kids now so we only use this one every couple of days & expect it to last a very long time. Just love it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Shire Gran from Washing times. This is my second Miele front loader. My only disappointment is that there is nothing between the Express 20 minute wash and the Cottons (Short) at 139 minutes for normal clothing. My old model had a 40 minute wash that I used regularly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sanbonani from Very happy with my purchase Having had Miele appliances for over 35 years it is not surprising that I opted for this washing machine when my old one required replacement a couple of months ago. So far I have found it to be an excellent washing machine. The only improvement I would suggest is a "medium length cycle" - this model has a 20 minute short wash with the next available cycle being well over an hour. Having said that the machine is very quiet and not intrusive at all. I am yet to try all of the features so cannot comment on these at this stage.
