Cleans really well but shocked at flimsy parts
The machine itself is great - washes well and has plenty of space. However, I was shocked and extremely disappointed that the toe kick brackets snapped right off on day two - the first time it was met with a very light kick. Bizarrely, it was not the plastic shield that broke but the metal brackets that hold it. It's not an essential part and I'd even debated with my husband about whether we should bother mounting it but why bother including it if it can't withstand a knock?

Shop around, this ones not great.
This is my second Miele dishwasher and I am disappointed. My previous dishwasher was perfect, every dish was always dry and spotless, this dishwasher does nary properly even over night and dishes are often not clean. Considering you pay top price for Miele quality, I would reconsider this one.

Doesn't dry dishes like the same model Miele it replaced. Had the last one 15 years and we were very happy with it. It seems that improved technology is not better at all !

Another Miele quality product.
This is a great model dishwasher. It is energy efficient and can be programmed in the evening to start in the morning so as to run on solar panel supplied energy.

Loving my new Miele Gen 5000 Dishwasher.
I have 2 issues.
1) the middle basket (glasses etc) is not as deep as my previous model so my wine glasses don’t t stand up as well as before and need to slide the basket in very carefully so I don’t break the stems.
2) there seems to be more water left on the top of cups, also in the middle basket so not sure if it’s angled the same as previously.
This is my second Miele dishwasher, which I have purchased for another property.
My first one is now 11 years old and still running like new. Touch wood, I have never had one problem with it.

I am not entirely happy with my dishwasher. I have to push the start button 2 or 3 times before it starts. The dishes come out wet a lot of the times. I previously had a Miele dishwasher which preformed great for 13 years and then replaced it with the current model which I am not happy with
