A Home barista for sure.
This coffee machine is a replacement for my 5 year old one. Some improvements have been made- improved dashboard and coffee icons. Brew coffee as good as the old one. This model doesn’t have a cup warmer which I now miss.
Not improved-the waste tray gets too full before I am prompted to empty it. The WiFi control is a waste of engineering. I have to turn the WiFi function on every time I want to use it. The milk pipe is not as inconspicuous as the model before and doesn’t rinse as well.
Overall I love the ease of use and the quality of the press and coffee that is produced. I would buy another but the nuxt model up.

Good coffee, BUT
If it was just about the quality of the coffee this machine would score a 5 star rating. Unfortunately different than expected some engineering problems have not improved since the previous model ( which I also owned ) and others have been added.
The ground coffee chute is still horizontal which will lead to blockages of grind down the line (like in the last model). The added vulnerability of the little silicone valves in the milk frothing pipe work that you shall not touch with so much as a brush to clean makes hygiene an issue. Dishwashers can only clean areas they can access and so making little cavernous pieces dishwasher safe does not make them cleanable…

A backward step
I have used several Miele coffee machines and the last one was a CM6350. But I am disappointed with the CM6160.
Miele hail it as "Milk Perfection" which it is not. The milk froth it produces is not better than the old coffee machines, just the same. And the milk system, with two pipes going into the milk, is finicky and difficult to clean compared to the old system. So, as it makes the same coffee drinks as the old machine, it is a backward step.
My CM6350 lasted four years before it broke down. Hopefully the new machine will last a bit longer.

Im bias when it comes to Miele products. Love the coffee machine, it is my 2nd. It still produces the best coffee. Still as good as the CM6110 which i got some 8500 coffees out of in 61/2 years. if there is one downside to this machine CM6160, the cup warmer is missing. I didn't use it lots on the old machine, it is useful during the colder months. Overall i think the 6160 is a wonderful machine and it meets all my needs and more. i highly recommend get the 6160

A backward step
My CM6350 was playing up after 4 years, only intermittently producing espresso, so I bought this machine about 2 weeks ago. The new milk system may produce better milk froth, but it is difficult to clean each night and is not as good as the old system for ease of use and cleaning.
I pulled the old machine apart and discovered the problem - grounds and fat clogging up the drain valve. So far it has performed faultlessly. So I will box up the new CM6160 and keep it in case the old machine doesn't function and can't be repaired at home.

Doesn’t have a cup heater, it’s rinse function of the milk system always ends up with a small amount of milk fat left in the end of it.
