Sorry Miele, you failed this time...
I purchased the Cat & Dog C3 about 6 months ago, while the vacuum cleaner is good, the Turbo Teq head has failed on me already, and the second one is about to fail also.
Harvey Norman NZ did a great job to deal with the warranty for the first head, but I feel that 3 months is about all I am going to get out of these heads. They are a real pain to remove to he hair from the brush, previously I had a Wertheim with a power head and it was a simple task. The Turbo Teq head is a great idea, but unfortunately just not thought through for a real user in terms of cleaning the brush head or design failure of the head. I have had Miele vacuums before, couldn't wait to get new one, but now I am disappointed.

Bad design
I spent considerable time researching what vacuum to buy and decided to go with Miele because they are a superior brand. I was persuaded by the sales assistant that I needed this floorhead to get maximum performance. Within a few months the bristles were clogged with hair and I spent a good amount of time trying to cut the hair out with nail scissors. I've been needing to do this process after every 2 or 3 uses so the vacuuming takes double the time. Now the brush has stopped rotating altogether. I note the normal floorhead gets much better reviews and I will be buying one of those next. I am disappointed though as you do not expect this poor design from a quality brand like Miele.

Terrible to clean
I purchased my cat and dog vacuum cleaner with this turbo head and I was completely disappointed it is so hard to try and get the round hair off the brush with very little space to try and get scissors or a sharp object to try and loose in the butt and what is suck on it. I'm also already having trouble with the air intake section with it not clipping back into place properly after owning a Dyson I am extremely disappointed I was hoping for a vacuum cleaner that had easy access to clean the turbo head which this clearly does not have when I reviewed the product at my local Harvey Norman store their head that they showed me on the vacuum cleaner looked as if it had two openings cruise to be able to access the turbo brush when I received it it does not have this at all now try and find refresh open you completely different vacuum

Turbo Head will Fail
Overall the vacuum is pretty great. The main unit is easy to clean, has powerful suction, and most of the parts are of very high quality. However, there was only one reason we bought this vacuum. We have a dog and 2 cats and the TurboTeQ Floorhead was apparently the best thing ever (according to the sales rep). And initially it was!. However, after a while the brush roller became incredibly clogged with rolled up pet hair. This is no problem in of itself, if the head unit is easy to clean. Unfortunately the Miele Turbo Head is anything but easy to clean. Finally, the roller packed it in totally and was really struggling to roll. No problem, I thought, I can just disassemble and clean it, as I've done with other head units. However, be forewarned that this unit is anything but simple to disassemble and clean. The final nail in the coffin was when I identified the issue. brush roller has a small drive belt attached to it, protected by a black plastic housing. This was not moving freely. No problem I thought, I can just purchase this part and replace. I phoned a parts supplier and they informed me that Miele only allows them to sell to official repair engineers. Next time I will make sure to ask questions related to ease of cleaning/repair when I buy a new vacuum. If you have multiple pets that shed, I can't, in all honesty, recommend this unit.

Works great
Initially purchased a Miele Classic C1 vacuum and after bringing it home was disappointed to find that the floorhead the vacuum comes with as standard is unable to vacuum wall to wall carpets. After reading online reviews I purchased this floorhead and am now able to vacuum my carpets with ease. The vacuums should come with this floorhead as standard!

Definitely would own one of these
I would not have bought my new Miele Blizzard if I couldn't purchase this head. It works very well on my short pile carpets, I have a long haired cat. To maintain the head you do need to cut or pull the hair from the brush but I'm pleased that it's mainly either in my vacuum unit or on the floor head rather than still on my carpet. I chose to buy the white Blizzard over the cat and dog because the reviews were better and I could then buy the most upgraded turboteq floor head.

Gréât but can’t clean thé head
Wonderful at cleaning the carpet but impossible to clean the head. Have to pick and pull at the fur around the brush roller. Very dirty and tedious work every week. My head is now jammed and I cannot pull it apart. I suspect Miele make it difficult so you have to buy a new head all the time. Please make it easier to clean the head

Disappointed with the Turbo Head
We are on to our second Turbo head - first one died after 1.5 yrs and now our second isn't working properly after only 11 months. At $199 one would think it should last much longer than this. Very disappointed with the Turbo Floorhead
